I just took a test to become alarm technician certified and it does sound like i have heard that before There are so many codes lately that are getting changed and passed that no one really knows what is going on. check this link I have provided it may help or maybe it has a link to some where can help or maybe even look at state laws and regulations or something of the sort. God bless.

having problems with landlord, who can I contact?
makinmud
Its been almost two months and we still have outlets, lights, and exhaust fans that work periodically and its not a breaker setup, its fuses and they are good. Also as of 01/01/07 carbon monoxide detectors were required and none of his homes have them installed as of yet. Is there anyone I can contact anonymously for help??
Answer
This sort of thing is usually handled by the local building inspector. If these are code violations then the landlord will get a violations notice and a date by which these must be abated or risk receiving a summons.
