Has anyone set off a carbon monoxide detector with farts?

Heres the deal,i ate somthing that gave me horendous gas and i kept popping them off and every so often the monoxide detector kept going off and we couldnt figure out why. My wife jokingly said it was from my gas and it got me to thinking maybe it was. I pulled the detector off the wall and popped on directly into it and sure enough it went off. Come to find out this detector could sense methane gas ,thus the reason it kept going off. Try it sometime ,it really works.

Has anyone had a problem with carbon monoxide detectors going off after a keg party. Happened twice to me?

This happened to one of my friends as well. We were both just using standard air pressure taps...no CO2 or other compressed gas. Both kegs were in relatively confined basements. I can't really come up with a reason for it. Also, there was no smoking inside at either party.

there might actually be a carbon monoxide problem, and beer has co2 which is dioxide wouldnt cause it to go off. i'd get you house checked. your furnace in particular
