A week ago our CO alarm went off and I pressed the reset button and it stopped, I forgot to change the batteries, and it went off again a week later. I changed the batteries and it beeped 3 times and stopped. If I really was having a carbon monoxide leak would my alarm just stop beeping?

Answer
The beeping for when batteries are low is different from when you actually have a CO leak. The beeping for low batteries is one beep every couple of minutes. The beeping for a CO leak is continuous. Replace your batteries, anyway. They are cheap and you want to be safe. Change them yearly. Change the CO alarm every 5 years.

How to read my carbon monoxide alarm?

How can I read my carbon monoxide alarm if it has no digital indicator on it?

Answer
You don't. If it starts beeping, get out and call the fire department.
