carbon monoxide detectors in hotels image

Answer
Most hotels have a carbon monoxide detector build in the room already.
If you fear for your safety, and it is a priority to you, then bring one if it makes you feel better.

Should I call the fire dept?
lops
My carbon monoxide detector has been going off intermittently for about an hour. I called my landlord and she said they had someone come and check it recently and it's a faulty detector, so that made me feel a little better. However, TWO carbon monoxide detectors are now going off. Do I need to call the fire department? If they tell me leave, I have nowhere to go and no money for a hotel. What do I do?
Answer
Don't listen to your landlord. If it was faulty it should have been replaced immediately. This isn't something to play around with. If you go to sleep you might not wake up. Call the fire department and they can come out and and check the CO2 levels with a handheld device.
